All of these have a reputation for good results up to ISO 800. These three models are very similar with only a few minor differences. All of them have 3x zoom. However, they lack a viewfinder and use lithium batteries which cost more than AA’s. The F30 and F31 have 6 megapixels and the F40 has 8 megapixels. The F31 is the same as the F30 except it has face detection (FD). The F40 has FD, also. The F40 has fewer manual controls but can use SD cards. The F30/F31 are 2006 models so harder to find.
