Fuji F40fd has higher resolution and better low light performance. However it has poor startup time, and continuous shooting performance. However for indoor sports/kids photography, this will be my top choice.
The Canon SD750 has fast startup time and better continuous shooting performance. However it lacks an optical viewfinder (crucial to have for keeping track of fast moving kids & pets).
The Sony W80 scores over the other two on features (optical viewfinder and image-stabilization). Continuous shooting speed is good too. Although low light performance is not as good as the other two, nevertheless it is top choice for shooting action in good light.
