I'm looking for an affordable, easy to carry around camera that will take decent shots at indoor horse shows. Quality doesn't have to be off the charts, but better than my plain old point and shoot. Your rec's are a good place for me to start looking!

and great recommendation - the one additional detail would be to delineate particular kinds of pix e.g. lowlight pix indoors of people sitting, say at table - wide angle or lowlight? your input here would be very useful. Travel meaning outdoor sights is one thing but travel = people still and moving another. Thank you for a helpful review.
